Pipiwai Trail

The Pipiwai Trail rises above the Oheo Gulch, itself a beautiful destination and home to the Seven Sacred Pools. This is one of the best hikes on Maui. Pipiwai Trail is 4 miles long roundtrip. There are several great waterfalls along the route with the final destination fall at Waimoku Falls, falling 400 feet down a sheer lava rock wall.

Waimoku Falls Trail

An amazing Maui hike sure to be a contender for the best hiking trail on the island, the Waimoku Falls trailhead begins at the end of the Hana Highway in Haleakala National Park. There are multiple waterfalls visible from this hike, and each could be a wonderful conclusion to your day. The trail passes over bridges and through huge banyan trees. There are more small waterfalls visible along the journey before you reach a bamboo forest so tall and straight that the foliage creates a canopy that the sunlight struggles to penetrate.
